Forgiveness of myself and of those who have hurt me has become such an important aspect of my recovery. It's harder for me to forgive myself than it is to forgive others. Anyone else having a hard time forgiving yourself for mistakes you've made in your active addiction? Advice?

Wise words you say here, many people are very harsh on themselves but who has not erred and made bad judgements? If you look at instances it is often the case that much as you might regret them in the end they are not worth a life sentence of misery and recrimination.

Very true. Making oneself crazy over past mistakes will not change them! It only makes self esteem worse. As well as anger, resentments and guilt. I have Coke to realize that forgiveness of myself and others is absolutely 100% necessary in order to love on. It's a very difficult part of recovery as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just go oh well oooops, dumbazz, live and learn and let's not do it again. Let's not forget but no need to beat ourselves up over it, even though we do that well.
