I'm on day four and it completely sucks. The cravings are horrible and I wish I had the chance for one last time. The urges better get easier because I hate this. I wish I could get to an AA meeting. But I don't have a car. Maybe reading DR sleep will help because he was an alcoholic and got sober.

Hang in there. They have online AA mettings. I'd also be willing to bet a local member would give you rides.
It will get better. One day at a time. Easy does it. PM me if you wanna. moogs

Hey saturday, congrats on 4 days. I echo what Moogie said - they have online meetings and they also can easily arrange for someone to pick you up depending on where you live, etc. a lot of meeting listings too will have a phone number listed for meetings; depending on which one you go to you can call and tell them your situation. Also, there is the AA hotline and there is someone there 24-7 to talk. that is always an option. And you can also PM me. 9 years sober now. large parts of it have sucked, but i've never regretted my constant recommitment to staying sober, not through mental illness, physical illness, trauma and death of loved ones.

saturdaybell - I agree with what moogs and spondiferous wrote. I'll add that the first thing I do each morning is acknowledge and congratulate myself for the last 24 hours sober and commit myself to another 24 hours. Then I read a daily meditation and ask my higher power to guide me through my day. As long as you really want to have a happy and sober life and commit to it, I believe you will discover fewer urges over time.
