You should not worry about offending anyone...this is a place to talk about recovery issues--including the 12 steps. I personally don't do AA or the 12 steps, but I think they are a good thing for a lot of people. My boyfriend and I are both in recovery. He does the 12 steps and AA. I do my own program. We get along fine--we don't try to force each others views or anything. The way I see it, we may have different apporaches, but we are both right because we are both happy and sober!

Ayup, whatever works. The 12 Steps I use the 12 steps on not only my recovery from alcoholism, but for just about anything that pops up in my life that is unacceptable to me. Basically the steps just keep me in check. They aren't a miracle cure for my attitude, they don't change me without work on my part, but they point me in the right direction to keep being the woman I want to be, and in turn, I get to stay sober. The 12 Steps

If you ever have any questions, feel free to PM me. The 12 Steps

DePressMe is a wonderful example also of recovery without the 12 steps. There are many ways and many possibilities.
