About 1/3 were yes, with one that I don't know should count as a yes. And one maybe.

Which do you think is more true, you abuse drugs or you are addicted to drugs?

I don't know. The more I try to analyze it the more I feel my use doesn't fit into either of those categories. I don't have problems with relationships because of my use, I don't have problems at work, and I've never had legal problems. But I have cravings, and if I start thinking about using I want it. And when my depression or anxiety is bad, using drugs is the first thing I go to right now.

I am. So far I have not been seeing anyone who is working out with me, but I'm checking out some new options.

I hope you find someone then. Speaking from my own experience, therapy was the best thing I ever did for myself.

How are things going? I posted earlier but I wanted to add that I don't think you should hate yourself for getting involved with opiates. I think that you've been given good advice here - but I don't think you should hate yourself. Take care.

Thanks for checking in. I had my first appointment with a new therapist last week, and I think this one is going to work out better. I haven't brought up my drug use with her yet, but there is time.
