Day 3 sober and still can't function

How are you? I like your story and posts. When you were 8 years sober, were you smoking weed?

No Moog..I never smoked weed (except 15 year ago).
I started smoking weed a couple months ago because I could not bear the anxiety from only being allowed 1 Lorazepam a day and the strength was only 0.5mg.

I was cracking up and kept going back to alcohol for relief which wasn't working physically for me I kept getting sicker. So a friend suggested trying to smoke a joint. I felt really good that day after smoking for about 3 hours....lasted longer than any Lorazepam....So I am thinking of going the medical marijuana route as well...because a family friend has a Dr. that issues the cards...I would qualify anyway....but I would like to do it legally.

I worked in an industry where I was a person who ensure RULES WERE FOLLOWED....and its hard for me to do something illegal...I don't have any kind of a record...and I don't want one.....Not that I am buying the pot on the street but technically I am because I am getting it from someone that does buy it on the street.

So, if a cop knocked on my door for any reason..to move a car...etc...my house could wreak of it...I just want a medical card.

I am confused thou about smoking and driving...my son got a DUI for weed. They thought he was DRUNK...he passed the breathalyzer, they asked if they could test his blood...he said yea...he is a heavy weed smoker...he didn't know that just because he didn't smoke that day it would show up...I think that was not right...so many fines...etc...but weed is illegal in our state....If it were legal would he have gotten a DUI I wonder?
