So it's been approx 3 months since I've stopped smoking bongs daily, was using 1.5-2g daily. I do still smoke the occasional joint. The other night I had 2 bongs & had one of those stoned epiphanies. I was overwhelmed with the fact that I had done this to myself for over 3 years everyday. I felt horrible, I'll never smoke a bong again (well not one with MJ anyway, I still smoke tobacco through the water pipe). Problem is I've gained 4 kg recently with no real change in diet or activity, I don't feel anymore motivated to do things, I am less anxious though.

Nice. 2g a day was expensive? How is your anxiety and benzos?

Hi moogie, both my partner & I smoked, would go through a quarter in 2-3 days & we both smoked approx the same, so yeh it was expensive but not ridiculously so, about $70 for a quarter where I live.

Initially my anxiety was high, I went through a week long period of nausea, loss of appetite, agitation & seemingly an inability to digest food which when I did manage to eat would sit in my stomach making me feel bloated & it was painful. Towards the end I felt like I had the flu but it could have been the lack of food by then. It was a delayed reaction, like 5 days after my last bong that this all started? Which seems to go against the literature which says it's the first few days. I increased my use of klonopin at the time but have gone back to using it more sparingly now. I think the MJ was really fuelling my anxiety, but aside from that now I've stopped I don't see many other benefits to having stopped which is frustrating. Plus the weight gain!!!!
