Its before 8am on a Saturday and I'm up. Why am I posting that? I dunno haha. Ya know, back in the day, I'd never be up this early without being hungover, good to not be!!

I'm going to a sponsor/sponsee breakfast this morning. Its a great event. The young people's committee in town puts them on every few months or so. I'm picking up my sponsee at 8:30 to head over. They have a panel of 4 generations of sponsors/sponsees and a good breakfast. Great fellowship day! Just way too early lol!

It was a ton of fun but now I'm beat! The room where the breakfast was held was hot inside and then it was hot outside. Its been sooo nice lately too that that was kinda disappointing. But the breakfast was great. They put on a skit called "How to ask for a sponsor" that was SUCH a riot. Then my sponsee and I went over to the group conscience meeting. I'm now the Alternet GSR (General Service Rep). So its a pretty big honor to have that position for my homegroup.

Now I'm home getting my fill of coffee haha.

Congratulations on getting the Alternate GSR position!! Not sure what that is. But, you go girl!!

Nice to hear you had a lot of fun at the breakfast. At least that place being hot didnt ruin it for ya'll.

AA is run by the members, so there's no "government" or president or that sort of thing. They have monthly meetings where they come together and discuss how things are going for the city and stuff. Each homegroup has a representive that goes to that meeting and then reports back to the homegroup. Its how all the groups work together. There's a GSR - General Service Rep who goes to the meetings and then theres the althernate, which is my position, in case the GSR can't go. I'll probably go even if he can though, because its a good way of being of service to my homegroup, and its interesting to see how the general service structure works. So thats it in a nutshell. Up way too early haha
