Have any of you heard of or tried kratom? I watched the documentary, [I]A Leaf of Faith, and immediately ordered a sample pack from a "reputable" online seller. Then, knowing this is an unregulated substance, wanting to research it, I watched several videos on YouTube about kratom withdrawals. It is touted as a benign substance from a coffee plant. I used one very small, less than recommended dose, and was able to get a lot done of things I had procrastinated. Taken in small dose like I used, it is a stimulant, helping with ADHD and thought processes. In a larger dose (which I will not do) said to be sedative. Kratom is legal to purchase at this time in the USA, but I'm thinkng it's not such a benign and harmless offering. I certainly don't want to, and and will not subject myself to withdrawals.

I took my last kratom pill this morning, I’ll try to remember to let you know how it goes. For me kratom is just another crappy thing to be addicted to. It is an opiate. And there are withdrawals but after a few days I think I’ll bounce back.
Also, I think kratom is toxic to the body and have had scary side effects from high doses. |
