Hi, I am looking for some support on whether anybody has ever invented addictions. The fact is that I don't like drinking alcohol and I hate how it makes me feel yet I still drink. I don't know if that qualifies me for having an addiction.
I feel like I have a major compulsion towards alcohol though and that's unhealthy, I know. I guess I'm just looking for some advice on how to deal with not drinking alcohol. Sometimes I just cannot bear it and I drink. But I feel like my soul dies a little bit every time I drink (I don't know if that's the best imagery ever). I also feel like an impostor going to AA meetings though I have gone to them before. I don't know if I should feel that way or not going there. I am a confused person these days! |

If you do not want to drink yet do so anyway then its time to look at whether you are an alcoholic.
