The liquor is out. They are drinking. Mixing drinks. They are laughing and talking about the drunk times before.
I am all alone.

No, you're not alone!

(((((((((((((chalmette70043)))))))))))))
I don't know you, but I hope you realize you're not alone when you have friends HERE ... and God or "something more powerful" than you are in your life. You can do it! You're stronger than the drink! You're probably the strongest person in that room at the moment because YOU'VE faced your problem ... and I bet you're not the only one there who should have? Stand up tall, Chamette, and be proud of yourself! You deserve to be happy ... you are a good person ... and you're not alone. There are millions of people all around the world who are struggling with the same thoughts. There's light at the end of this tunnel ... so hang in there and hang on, the holidays are almost over! GoodMama

You are most definitely not alone. There are lots of us facing the same challenges and urges. You have a lot of people rooting for you here at PC & I personally believe that there is a higher power in the world who can lend us strength. I know how hard this is for you, but try to stay strong & be proud of yourself for doing something healthy for yourself. Post here as much as you need to. You can make it through this. splitimage |

chalm, I know the feeling. There's always drinking at Christmas, New Years, and well, pretty much every holiday. And every holiday I want to join the fun instead of sitting with a can of Pepsi or a cup of coffee. There's that feeling of desire but there's also that sadness that comes with the denial of drinking. I understand completely and it's just something we have to deal with. But I know you're strong so congrats for getting through it.
And as others have pointed out, you're not alone in the struggle. Cyran0

I've been struggling with my asthma the last few days and too much candy/sugar or any drinking makes it worse. I had no trouble remembering that yesterday and how much I enjoy breathing :-) and brought my bottle of water along to my two parties.
