Sober for another night. Spent productive, not harmful time on the computer. managed to eat, see family and friends and get goals done. I even cleaned my dishes, look at me!

I've noticed this past weekend, an increase in the number of TV ads for alcohol, and I know it will only get worse as Christmas approaches.
Even though I'm totally committed to staying sober, I find these ads triggering because they romanticize alcohol, even though I know it's poison for me. Any one else find alcohol ads gives them cravings? splitimage |

I avoid tv completely, but I imagine I'd find that triggering. I find get togethers with family triggering, they are all offering each other drinks and drinking in front of me. They drink moderately, but it sometimes drives me nuts. I've learned to live with it and accept I can't drink with them. It's alright if my dad and my brother have a beer, I don't need to have one, I don't even like the beer they are drinking, I just want to feel included. I find other situations where I am faced with confronting alcohol, like going to a bar with family or fortunately sober friends, triggering too. Anything that brings it back into consciousness can be difficult, but you have to keep your resolve, stay serene and let it go. Your disease is always going to be doing pushups in the parking lot, but you can still use wisdom to outsmart it.

Starting in a couple of weeks, I'm going to be hosting a live chat on co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues, on another platform. I'm really excited about it.

Hang in Desoxyn, You can get through the cravings.
Change in schedule has me hosting my first concurrent disorder meeting tonight, so I have to prep for it. I'm very nervous. Will go to a double recovery meeting this afternoon to get some ideas. |

Chaired my first concurrent disorders meeting last night, and it went pretty well. Fortunately another guy who I attend a lot of meetings with who also hosts a meeting volunteered to be a co-host and he really helped me with moving people into the room while I was doing the readings.

My meds are: Invega Trinza, Dexedrine, atenolol, zopiclone, olanzepine, clonazepam PRN.
Supplements are: Vitamin D, C, fish oil and melatonin Nootropics are: Ashwagandha, CBD, nicotine, coffee, phenibut, weed So far so good. Getting back on track. I drank one drink last night and it made me dysphoric. I haven't drank in almost a full year. I don't like alcohol. |

I'm dependent on phenibut again.
I want to be sober - But I don't know how to deal with the immense pain. I've been doing this for years. |

Drugs are a slow suicide for me. I should be dead. I don't know how I'm still alive. I don't want to be alive.

I've already got the addiction in control which was a result of self medicating. I will likely stop that now that my meds are adjusted properly and will possibly grow out of using drugs or at least start exploring very cautiously idk.
