So, I just logged in and guess what?

Why?

Usual excuse....something happened tonite and I'm wasted.

Pathetic excuse right? We all have bad stuff happen, we all feel pain.

So...anybody wanna take a shot please feel free...I feel like I deserve all I get tonite.

For anybody in a bad place themselves who has read this....you are NOT me, you ARE worth the effort, please do NOT give up on yourself just because I have tonite.

Guess that's it. Just explaining why I've logged in just to log our again. I've just missed everyone terribly and wanted to come back and say so.

Love and hugs to all.

Hey Roz,

bad things indeed do happen. It takes time to find new ways to deal with them instead of resorting to the old ways.

Stay safe and be patient with yourself. Everyone's missed you too.

Pick yourself up,,,brush off your knees,,stay close to those you love (us too) and get back in the game...

You have already humbled yourself and that is understood...shame solves nothing..

We care Roz....be safe and good to yourself...

Get back on the horse Roz

Nothing but good vibes coming from this neck of the woods!

Don't feel shameful - learn from it.

Have you ever seen the movie, "The Lion King". Rafiki ( the wise monkey) and Simba (The lion son) are in the field and Rafiki whacks Simba over the head with a stick and Simba says, "Ouch, what was that for?" Rafiki swings again and Simba ducks. And Rafiki says, "It's in the past .....you can either run from it....or learn from it!"

I think of this story all the time............it's so true.

Hey Roz,

I've lost count of the number of times that I've tried to stop drinking only to relapse over the years. The important thing is to not get down on yourself, but to learn from the experience, pick yourself up and start over. I keep an online journal and it took me close to three years of trying to stop on my own before I formally sought treatment, then I relapsed almost immediately after my first stab at rehab. Finally wound up in the hospital and got serious. Even in my second rehab I had a couple of relapses until I finally "got" some semblance of a handle on recovery.

We're here to support you however we can.

ps. It's great to see you posting again.

The Lion King is a great, amazing, inspirational film that lifts my spirits too. So....?

You matter Roz, you're a great person, and you are strong- everyone faces bumps in the road of life and falls off, what matters is that you get back up. You don't deserve anything bad, far from it, you deserve lots of good.

You're not pathetic.

Take care.
