I made it through an ENTIRE weekend (3 days!!) with my family in another province and putting up with their insanity...

AND

I went to a wedding ... where everyone seems to have been drinking...

AND I DIDNT DRINK!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that's pretty awesome for myself, since I was so worried and tempted.

I'm glad I made it through. I couldnt have gone to a meeting if I had wanted to because nobody in my family knows about my attending AA! And they thought it was weird that I wasnt drinking, and though some of the family tried to force me to drink, I stuck to sparkling apple juice, water, and Pepsi

Now I'm rushing out to (hopefully) attend an AA meeting tonight at my home group. I hope it's running, even though today is a holiday!! We shall soon see eh?

Christina,

that's awesome, really good going. I know how hard it is when family keep pushing drink on you. Glad you were able to resist.

I was lucky, I went to a thanksgiving dinner, where some people were drinking but most people weren't so I was able to focus on stuffing myself silly on food. Yum.

Thanks both of you.

I made it to my meeting tonight. Next week I'll be celebrating 3 months! (Yeah yeah, I know... one day at a time )

It was a good meeting. I dunno. I'm so tired and worn out and crabby that going tonight meant I probably didnt get as much out of the meeting as I COULD have... but I went, right? that's good I think.

I should probably consider going to alternative meetings soon. My meeting at my university kinda fell through... I think the "planner" person is MIA! Oh well, I'll find a way to get to another meeting eventually... once I'm certain of my availability, and accessibility of facilities!

Good job making it through the holiday! Get some rest and find more meetings. They give you a lot of what you need. You can do it!
Thanks for this!
