hello luvlittlebit and welcome to pc. beads has a suggestion that may help.

this may sound dumb, but like iffen you get a good heavy rubberband and put it around your wrist, then pull on the rubber band and let it snap every time you think about wanting to cut.............T gived us this idea and it helped because it inflicted just enough pain to take care of the numbness and make the pain on the inside (our heart) go away.

sending positive thoughts and warm fuzzies your way,

beads

If you scroll down further you will find a forum on Self Injury. There may be many people there who will understand and support you. Good luck.

Can't stop you from praying and blessing me,
and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."
Thanks for this!

Hi Luvlittlebit,

I haven't been a member very long, but most of the people on this site are really great and supporting. They've already helped me immensely. The S.I. forum lists lots of ways to avoid cutting and there is no judgment from others because we are all in the same boat. I'd also like for you to know that I've struggled with S.I. for a really long time; so if you need to talk to someone or just vent a little you're more than welcome to private message me.
Welcome to P.C. !!

The quiet scares me 'cause it screams the truth.
Please don't tell me that we had that conversation,
'Cause I won't remember, save your breath 'cause what's the use?

Aahh, the night is calling, and it whispers to me softly,
"Come and play". Aahh, I am falling, and if I let myself go
I'm the only one to blame.

I'm safe, up high, nothing can touch me, but why do I feel
this party's over?
No pain, inside, you're like perfection, but how do I feel
this good sober?"
