Hello:

Everybody is telling me that I'm anorexic because everyday I ate less food, always eating the same thing and don't want everybody to offer me or suggest me to try something different, I excercise like crazy. Yes I'm scare, terrified of gain weight again and want to keep droping pounds. I don't know what to think I been reading articles about anorexia and its symptoms and I can admit that the people is right about that. I don't know where to start the procedures. All I can say it that it's not easy to accept that and less easy get some help because I deny to gain weight.

Well the first thing I think to focus on would not be gaining weight, but on your thoughts and feelings towards your body. The rest will come later.

Do you have a dr you can talk to about this? I got treatment by talking to my psychiatrist about it. But you can also talk to a family dr, therapist, if you are in school a counsellor or teacher you trust. That's a place to start. It's hard to ask for help, but in the end it is worth it. And the sooner the better.

You need to get help before things get beyond your control if they already are not. I know it's scary, I was scared to get help too, for the same reason ... Afraid to gain weight. It can be a deadly illness and steal your life if you don't do something to get help.

(((hugs)))
Thanks for this!

I, too, was scared to get help. I denied the fact that I was as thin as I was. I didn't think I had a problem. I have been out of the hospital for 2 months now and am still struggling with being ok with gaining weight. It isn't easy asking for help, but something that needs to be done. We are here to support you in anything you do.
