Today as I hyper-focused on cleaning my tea pot, my thoughts went to something my father use to say. You see, he felt it was his duty as a father to "advise me how the real world works". These intoxicated ramblings would become the foundation for living my adult life. Today I pondered the soda and potato chip rule. According to my father in the real world, women who drank soda and ate potato chips were disgusting. He went on to say that if I had chips and soda while laying on the sofa and watching TV, I would not only be disgusting, but undesirable as well. To be undesirable is a fate worse than death and my father would be so ashamed. However, it was perfectly acceptable to have chocolate. After all, if a man truly desired me he will buy me chocolate.

As a result of my never ending quest to survive in the real world, I will not eat chips and will occasionally drink soda if it is mixed with alcohol. I never watch TV during the day and will only watch it at night when my husband wants me near him. I lay there anxiety ridden, hungry and thinking of all the things I need to be doing.

Today, I have been up for 8 hours and have not eaten.

How are you doing today? Sorry I didn't reply to your thread when I initially read it, I wasn't in a great place. (and I'm not good with the advice). Just thought I would check in with you.
