I've been refeeding on and off for about two months now, and just recently (last few weeks) my hair has been falling out! :'( When my eating disorder was more "active", I lost my period, fainted, had weakness and heart problems, but I never lost my hair... Now as I'm recovering from the worst bout of anorexia I've ever had in almost 5 years of having it, my hair is falling out! I guess this is my ED catching up with me, but it just seems unfair that this didn't happen until AFTER I started refeeding...

My hair has always been falling out for as long as I can remember. I've had my ED since I was 15 and I am now almost 33. I don't remember a particularly worse time, but know that when my ED was most in control, my hair was bad. Also your hair could be falling out because of your thyroid being messed up. I know that it is a symptom of hypothyroidism, so you might want to get that checked. I am now just shy of being 2 yrs out of the refeeding stage, and my hair is still falling out. It is something I have come to live with.
