Summer break...I was looking forward to it...and was enjoying the freedom from school, after an extensively difficult third term, due to the panic disorder I've recently started getting treatment for.
To my surprise, even in my huge absence, I managed to achieve the required average for the honour roll...I was ecstatic. I've never gotten detention, or even so much as a warning at school, yet...yesterday, I saw the letter asking me to leave the school.
Reason? I missed over 200 classes in the third term alone. Reason for that? I was struggling with multiple, daily panic attacks, severe anxiety, and treatment. They've told me to find a different school...and they will 'consider my re-enrollment' once all my mental health issues have gone away.
...
I have a chemical imbalance...it won't go away. I pretty much got expelled for having a medical disorder.
...I haven't mentioned the best part. I've gone to private schools my whole life. They didn't bother to let me and my parents know about this until...yesterday. Applications for provate schools are usually accepted in April at the latest. it would seem, I have to go to a public school for the first time in my life, for my first year of high school, with absolutely no friends.
...
I know have worse anxiety than I did during the school year.

(((((insomniac)))

Public schools are not all that bad, people are more accepting, less judging, and you have much less of a chance for being kicked out on account of a medical condition- public schools WORK with you, on your issues, WITH YOU, not against youin my experience....think of it as a clean slate to be the YOU you always wanted to be as the new person- no one remembers you as you used to be, you can be the most mature YOU and start out that way....how are your parents handling this? You may or may not be able to hold the private school accountable for their actions by a lawsuit, sounds like your grades were top notch, and you have that going for you..tell me more about how your family is handling this- getting you more help than you previously had? Supportive mother and father? How are you feeling- you described outside circumstance but not how you are holding up, considering...thinking of you, caring...write more?

I do think you should pursue a lawsuit, if a lawyer says you have a case. It's not right to discriminate against someone like that.
