Ok, somebody tell me I'm being childish here. Stormy weather outside. Got no prob with thunder, lightening, rain ...but ...wind. It freaks me out big time, wound up tighter than tight here...blaring music through headphones to keep out noise of wind. How childish is that? And anyone else scared of wind?

Actually now that you mention it i can handle all those things except for wind. Wind is freaky, it makes weird noises and moves trees and stuff around and they tap on your window. Ah freaky!
Thanks for this!

You know I was living in Texas at the time when hurricane Rita hit down south, and our power went out just over the wind. I was really freaked out about it. It was so weird. Actually the power would come on and come off. It was like someone playing with a light switch. My bf had to take me to public places at the time bc I was freaking out over it. Wind can be so creepy.

Ok, I would have found that real scarey. The hurricane, the lights, the wind. Think I would've hid in the nearest cellar. Nice your bf cared enough to take you places that may have calmed you a bit though.

Not wind itself , but the damage it can create scares me.
Tornandos terrify me . Never get them around here.
Thank God. What is the wind speed currently at , above 100 kms . , you are in the UK . I presume it's kms.

No, we still go by mph. And I have no idea how strong it is, not gale force but I'm a baby with wind anyways. I don't mind being out in it, just the sound of it from outside when I'm indoors freaks me out.

i agree - a strong wind or snow storm can send me into panic. it's that feeling of being out of control for me - that something is going to happen and i won't be able to get out. also if i am driving and a really horrible rain storm hits - i am better with that now but it does freak me out.

since i have moved to new england (us) they seem to have gotten worse. i used to live in so. california so snow was not really an issue - lol.

good to know that i am not alone - i'll be posting the next wind or snow storm.

thanks as always for being willing to share and help me know that i am not alone.
Thanks for this!

It's nice to know I'm not alone either, DoggyBonz...I'll definitely be here to support you too when your next storm hits.

Heavy wind makes me extremely claustrophobic and anxious. You are not alone.
