Ack! Haven't gotten much sleep the last two nights due to my Adderall increase and the 6 year old monkey child being sick (poor girl). I am one of those people who truly need at least 7 hours of sleep a night. I've been really good at being calm since I started the Adderall (Innatentive ADHD) with the exception of Open House day at school. (Change in schedule and the school being packed with kids and parents triggered that). Haven't quite tipped into an attack since starting Adderall, but walked that razor's edge. I even got the ok from my psyc dr to lower my Paxil dosage from 50 to 25 mg a day (this is the second decrease in 8-9 months.) Since I've been dealing with this since puberty, I think I have a good handle at it, but I am surprised at what triggers me. We have been slowing down at work so I have posted a lot today, and started worrying I had been "talking too much". I don't think that is the only thing triggering it, but wonder what the heck is going on in my brain now. So I'm just adding frustration into the mix. I took my Klonopin, which I was planning to take to help me sleep anyway. Even when we feel balanced, there is always something that can tip us one way or another...

Thanks guys, I needed that.

Hi,
Have you tried relaxation techniques like deep breathing or listening to sounds like waves. I have a lot of trouble sleeping for various reasons and I find listening to rain or the ocean is very helpful. It clears the noise in my head without making me to interested (like music or TV does).
I know what it is like to have a sick kid and this just adds to your stress level. I also am a 7-10 hour a night sleeper or the evil ***** queen presides. Hope you get some rest soon.
Peace

The good news is that the lack of sleep seemed to be the issue. I got some deep sleep last night and feel 100% better today!
