Yesterday and the day before have been a nightmare here but they ended up ok. Two days ago the landlord decided i was satan and had to move out immediately. She said the reason was i dont work, im not on the lease(its been 2+ years and ive always lived here the whole time) and one of the realtors said they possibly smelled marijuana(who me?). Luckily my girlfriend was able to come with me when i went back home. The landlord had taken my knife collection and the gamecube as well. We called the cops and she had to give the gamecube back but apparently she felt threatened by the knives so the cops said they had to be kept elsewhere. How she feels threatened by me i have no idea. I dont talk to the woman because she makes me crazy angry. I think ive said about 10 words total to her in the 2+ years. Anyway we ignored her kicking me out as its not legally binding just cause she said so(cop agreed).

So the next day we get home and the landlord comes over AGAIN and gives my girlfriend a letter saying we had to be out by midnight that day. That she *might* allow the kids to stay while we find a new place. We called her son who actually owns the place and explained to him what his mom was doin(she seems about as crazy as i am). So then she calls back several hours later saying we dont have to then at midnight(not like we were going to anyway but im sure the cops appreciated not having to come out).

The part that is buggin me is even tho we are moving by May 15th, what if this stuff just keeps happening. Constantly making up things and flipping out. The stress of her the last two days has driven everyone in the house completely bonkers. I mean possibly being homeless even if we could all find friend or family to be with isnt nice. I know the law is on our side but my dad being a cop growing up relying on them is less than comforting. Feel like the clock is ticking til her next meltdown and my heart is getting weak. What would you do in this situation? Girlfriend is calling the housing coalition here on monday and possibly getting an attorney to force her to leave us alone(if possible). Anything else? When it comes to the landlord i dont care if its low or dirty either, i want her to pay.

Shaymus, your landlord sounds extremely unbalanced.......i'm glad you didn't have to move out when the cops came. i don't think she has any right to kick you out, but do check with the tenant/landlord people in your town....good luck!!!! pat

It seems like now that we involved the cops and her son that things are calming down. How someone can hate me with so much passion when theyve never talked to me for more than three words is beyond me. Ive never been rude and ive certainly never said the things ive wanted to say to her. Now all i have to do is resist the urges to get passive aggressive revenge on her by keying her car or egging her house/car.

for an extra five spot, we'll do the shrubs and bushes in artful shapes and for five more, we'll dye the toilet paper........your color choice, of course.

OH MAN! I want the dyed T.P.! What a hoot. Shay, you are doing great and make sure you all use your legal resources because it takes a real lot to kick tenants out. By the way, I remember why I hated renting.

Argh! The landlady sent us a piece of mail today saying we were rude to city employees working on the house and therefore can evict us. Now i was here the whole time and didnt say one word to the workers. My gf when they told her we wouldnt have any water for the whole day(and night) did complain but i mean she was hardly rude. With all the crap the landlady has done shes lucky she didnt get true rudeness. Anyway at the end of the letter it says something about eviction and the sherriffs coming. It DOESNT say when or what day. So now im severely stressed that when i drop Trish off at work here in about an hour ill come home to cops and have to deal yet another mess this woman has thrown at us. Im not a violent person,,,in fact ive never even thrown a punch or been in a fight. Why am i saying this? Cause her piling on crap to our heap of crap already for this particular week is making me very angry.

Apparently it isnt enough that we are waiting to hear about an apartment building we applied to(we have to be out by May 15thi think). Apparently it isnt enough that gf has court on friday and we dont know what the outcome will be. Apparently it isnt enough that we have zero money to deal with any of this. Now shes making stuff up! Great! Just great.

Someone tell me this would be very stressful for a normal person and im not totally crazy.

that seems absolutely ridiculous .. you're not crazy. I would just explain to them she wasn't rude at all ..and really what business is it of her's if you complain a little for going without water all day/night?

So you complain a little get it off your chest. If you didn't get rude then I can't see what the problem is and why your land lady is going to kick you out. Why is she getting involved?

lol here I go getting annoyed...call me crazy now.

Hehe thankfully the gf called the landlady and asked what the note meant. She was saying on May 15th that the sherriff would come if we wernt out by midnight or something. Now that im calmer and able to think straight i think the reality of the letter was she was getting it in writing for a 30 day notice cause the other two letters she wrote had to be taken back. Why she didnt say the date on the letter we had to be out by i have no idea. I really believe she knows of my mental problems and is trying to drive me insane to the point i act out.

Even better news is we got accepted to the one apartment building! I mean money wise we are in a pinch but there are family and bosses that can be asked for a loan(i hope). We can move in the 1st which is cool cause then we dont have to be out here til the 15th. That means we can slowly move and not have the mad panic rush that is usually involved in moving. Hopefully having all the small things brought to the house so on the 14th or whatever we can rent a moving truck and get the heavy things.

Thank you Eva! Its hard to know what reality is sometimes when im really panicky and anxious. I know i blow things out of proportion a LOT.

Good!!! I still dislike this woman to extremes no normal human should. She sticks her nose in things she shouldnt, she talks crap when her own poo stinks just as bad and she really thinks absurd things are the god's truth. Ive never had a landlord who was so persistantly annoying and provoking in my life. I remember when we moved in she was complaining about the last tenants and how they messed her over. Now i understand why! Its so very tempting to act but i fear that is what she wants me to do so im restraining myself so far. Thats the part that stinks from renting from cheap places. The slumlords are just as crazy as me in so many cases.
