I'm very new at this and I'd like some help if I could get it. I would like to talk with others that have social anxiety like I do...

Look for any support groups. My mom also had the best advice, do things you enjoy and you will find people that enjoy the same...

Josh, you're talking to the right bunch here. And Welcome! But I guess you mean RL friends. If you think you have substance abuse problems, nearly all drinkers and druggers have social anxiety as well. Otherwise, you might try the yellow pages under mental health, and ask about support groups for anxiety or depression. billieJ
