I don't hear well at all even with these @#&* hearing aids that cost a fortune. Am stressed out. Saw T yesterday and came home with migraine because I was straining to hear her.
I forget to ask people to speak up--how stupid is that????
Am good at reading lips but people don't look straight at me. I know that's human nature not to stare but I hate only hearing vowel sounds.
Everybody sounds like they're burping.
Can't afford new hearing aids and hate that too.
In a bad mood right now.

Maybe make a note to hand to your therapist at the beginning of the next session reminding him/her to speak up and look directly at you. Also, you might ask your therapist if he/she is aware of any assistance for new hearing aids.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, a note would be good cause then T would see it and I'd remember to give her the note.
Will google hearing aid assist. Not covered by insurance (surprised?) but maybe something out there.

Thanks to Byzantine I found The Hearing Loss Association that lists groups who help low income people with buying hearing aids. Anyone who can't afford the $2,000 PER Ear cost should look at this site! It can make a Huge difference.
