I have posted that I am a new Grandmother. Today , my son and d-in-law had to go out of state, and they left my 10 day old granddaughter with me. Of course, I was THRILLED when they asked, have babysat many many other children even this young, but my granddaughter has a "strangling" issue while feeding, and has a ton of congestion in her nose and throat......
thus the memories.........son had same issues, and it was shortly after his birth, dealing with a new baby, post partum depression etc, that I developed full blown PAD. It is like I am reliving those days with him today ! I am not panicked, but I know my anxiety level is way up there. I also know that I can deal with this, more mature ( 27 years more so), more experience than when son was born, worked in medical offices etc, but I don't like these memories of my BAD days !

Now that I typed that - I feel about 99% better ! I just turned my thoughts around, and WOOOHOOOO - I know why I am feeling this way, I know I can handle these feelings now, and I am a good Grandmother !!!! How about that - changed my stinkin thinkin and feel soooooooooooooo much better ! I can get past the "memories" of the bad days, and SEE how much progress I have made !

Did I mention she is gorgeous ??? LOL !!! Thanks for reading this, and I hope in some small way, it will help someone else.........like it did me !!!!

I am glad your feeling better after this post. Just relax. Enjoy your time with this beautiful baby and as I always say.....Spoil her rotten. Take care Grandma!!!!
