I read with interest your reply to zana0566 regarding her fear of driving. Your quote, "just sit there and feel the fear, taste it, let it envelope you, don't try to run from it." That's a different concept to me I've let Fear rule my whole life and I am not a young woman; it controls me in so many ways and inhibits my ability to enjoy life. In fact, I've keep a quote I've had for years that says, "When Fear strikes, change what you're doing; you're doing something wrong." Instead of running from it, to sit and face it is a fascinating concept. Fear can strike in so many places. Stressful situations when we're out among people, or even some mornings as I awake the fear grips. Any further thoughts on this from you or other readers would be appreciated.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
