when i have my "moments" my hands get itchy, like they need something to hold onto to comfort myself.. I rub them on just about everythin.! My blanket, the wall.. Ect. I was wondering if anyone else gets like this.. If so, how do you cope.? I usually turn to hurting myslef, i know its not good.. But, its what i am use to, sadly.

(((Everyrose)))

I just get that horrible feeling of dread....usually someone will trigger it. My heart starts beating fast, my hands sweat and I feel like I am going to get fired, lose my marriage... I am terrified of losing it in public. When this happens at work....I go to the bathroom and try to get myself together...I talk to myself and remind me that I am OK...I am a person of worth...This will be better in a few minutes...I just need to get through those few minutes...

As you know some days are better than others, I really do know how you are feeling and I want you to know as others do that you are not alone and you are not invisible.

When the panic hits, do your breathing exercises and that will bring things under order for you. If you haven't learned the breathing exercises find a therapist who will teach them to you.

Keep going, everything will be ok,

Rhiannon

I agree, the breathing exercises will definately help and there are a variety of other relaxation techniques which you can teach yourself in order to have more control.

The fact that you say that you tend to hurt yourself is very concerning and the longer you allow it to continue, the worse it could possibly get. Why don't you sign up for the FREE anxiety and panic mini course at
http://overcomeanxietyattacksandpanicdisorders.com/ I am sure you will find it very helpful.

Hope this helps a bit and all the strength in the world to you. Always remember, you are not alone!
