Got rid of my bed bugs several weeks ago. Just got a new bed today and it is in a vacant apartment until they spray the rest of the units. My neighbor just dumped her area rug that has not been treated in there! This is the rug that my caseworker to throw out. I sent my caseworker an email but she probably will not read it until Monday. I think it was really wrong of my neighbor to do this. Yes this is the one legged crack ***** who did this. Do you all think I should just stay up in my apartment until this gets straightened out. I fear this persons anger and would rather sleep on the floor than have bed bugs. She ruined an opportunity for me to get a good night's sleep. Now I am just so angry! I am pissed! Need a hug!

So sorry to hear this, bed bugs are the worst! is there a way you can get in there and get that rug out? If not, then on Monday, you just have to request a new bed, end of story... sending you hugs, try to take it easy, you can't worry about it now, it's out of your hands....

If it's not one thing it's another. So sorry you have such awful neighbors. You really don't belong in that complex. You're a decent human being and have had several lifetimes worth of bad experiences. I hope you can move soon. You deserve some peace of mind already. :hug. Do whatever you need to do to get some sleep tonight.

You are so right. The one legged crack ***** is not someone to mess with...she is a nasty person who steals, lies and cheats. She cussed out the manages of the apartments. She is known to become violent. I would have to defend myself and if I left a mark, I go to jail. Not worth it! Think I will safely stay up here afterall. Wrote my caseworker that I was staying upstairs so that I could not be blamed for any continued infestation. But the hugs are so much appreciated! After all the man hours and cost of spraying, at the last minute she does this! Hopefully if I stay up here the bugs won't be attracted to my bed.

That stinks so bad ((NF)). Does your new mattress have plastic on it? I also recommend you buy those total mattress covers that are recommended for allergy sufferers - the mattress fits into it like an envelope and zippers up. Since one of my daughters has viral induced asthma, her allergist recommended ironing the mattress - this kills those dust mites. maybe it would kill those bugs. A few months ago I bought a steamer, so I steam the mattress and pillows.

Can you move from this place?? I really don't think you should stay there and this place isn't good for your mental health. Maybe you can return the mattress and tell them to deliver another one. I also wonder if they don't treat the whole complex at once - won't they eventually come back?? Bed bugs would make anyone upset.

((((((( NuckingFutz! )))))))

I hate dealing with difficult neighbors. To tell the truth, no longer am I effectively or safely able to do so on my own. In view of your neighbor's history and character, your approach seems right.

Wishing you safety, rest, and a bedbug-free existence

This is a new mattress. I am trying to keep it bed bug free. Can't spend the night down there anyway. The lock is broken on one of the windows down there so it isn't safe. You all are right about this place. It is a comedy of errors. Moving as soon as I get my SSDI...to Vegas to be with my family. We already picked a really nice place out and they take VA vouchers. The apartment downstairs is still vacant. Guy left a note that the unit had roaches covering the walls. Yuck! I sprayed pesticide around the bed and shut the door. That should do it. Yes, other residents are getting the bugs...3 more units have the bugs and are waiting to be treated. Legally all the units are required to be treated if more than one unit is infested. All my important stuff is already in storage in Vegas. Do not have money for mattress covers. Spent all my money shipping stuff to Vegas. Even the charities do not consider covers a priority as long as there are people out there without beds. I can hang in there a little while longer.

Not again! Why don't you call the cops on that one legged crack ***** and tell them she's dealing crack? She won't know it's you and the apartment block would be better off without her.

Is your new mattress in plastic covering? I hope so. You are going to be the happiest person to get to Vegas and your family, it'd make any possible dysfunction feel like a birthday party compared to the one legged crack ***** and her antics. Any idea when you will be moving? Funny, but I am as excited for you as if it were happening for me

Humor heals. Someone got me bed bug covers. My caseworker will deal with her tomorrow. Can't prove neighbors use. She does not open the door to the cops. I am really tired of her BS. I am not a cop or a lawyer or a case manager. Really trying to not think about her because this whole situation exhausts me. I know I got angry on here and I ranted about her behavior. I am just going to avoid her as best I can. I appologize about my negativity. T called her an emotional vampire. Thank you all for caring so much.
Thanks for this!

I missed something here. Why did they not deliver the mattress to your apartment?

Because the bug man had to inspect my apartment to declare me officially bed bug free before my caseworker would let them put the bed in my apartment. At this point I am trying to be as cooperative as possible even if what they suggest does not make sense. They were concerned the mattress would get more bugs if I still had them. Neighbor took a rug over there that she was told to throw out. She took it over there because she still has bugs in her apartment and thinks there are no bugs on the rug. The babies and eggs cannot always be seen. My mattress is now in plastic so bugs cannot get in. Was informed by the manager I could sleep there until tomorrow and her too but she is toxic and not safe to be around. I would rather sleep on the floor. This has been a hellish nightmare compounded by a hellish neighbor. Neighbor does what she wants no matter what the cost to others. She will get angry and retaliate if she found out I emailed the caseworker the rug is in there. Did it anyway. Will avoid her till I move.

I'm so glad you're bug free now. Congrats! It seems like a victory in a never ending war. I hope it lasts for your sake.

Me too! Being very vigilent about checking for the little critters. I do take the bus so I have good reason. I really appreciate everyone's support.

Futz, hugs to you! I'm so sorry you are dealing with a really bad neighbor. I know how it is. I also know that crack addicts are the worst. I hope you can move out of there really fast so or that she leaves.

Still bed bug free! Everyday is a blessing. One legged crack ***** still says she has them. She did not want to get rid of a desk that still has them. Staying away from her. She is now shooting up speed in her hand. This freaks me out.

Not surprised you're freaked about the shooting up in the hand. Other veins must have collapsed from the crack. I'll be so glad for you when you move, I reckon I'll have a party!

Futz, I hope you move soon so you can get away from your crackhead neighbor. By the way I don't blame you for being frightened of her. Crackheads are dangerous and unpredictable.
