ty for sharing and I am glad you found pc.

I really relate to the anxiety you must be going thru.

I remember my first psychiatric evaluations as an adult. I remember not knowing what things were, too. It was scary---the unknown and knowing that people were "picking my brain" and placing me under a proverbial microscope.

I hope you will not have to wait too much longer (the waiting itself is anxiety-provoking, too) and that you will find answers and resolve this.

Wishing you the best,

Billi

Well done for going back to your doctor and telling him the therapy wasn't working. That was brave! Were you able to ask him about the anti-anxiety medication? Either way, I really hope you don't have to wait too long for the psychiatric evaluation. You will just have to answer some questions, nothing too nasty!!! So try not to worry too much if you can help it! It's good you're having this evaluation because that will help with a more precise diagnosis and better treatment options.

Well done for asking. I'll keep everything crossed for you that you don't have to wait too long for the evaluation so that you can move forward with some treatment.
Thanks for this!

I'm glad your doctor isn't just prescribing by the "seat of his pants" :-) but wants you to get evaluated. It's usually several word-type oral and written tests; nothing with right/wrong replies, just how you think and feel. You can't fail or have anything horrible happen as a result.

I noticed you're in the UK, here's a UK explanation:
