I just had to call my boss -- I work from home two days a week -- to ask a question, and she yelled at me for not planning ahead. I had a good idea, I just didn't know how to execute it, and I'm supposed to let the photographer (I'm a reporter) know today what he's supposed to be doing for 2 weeks out.
So, I got yelled at for that, and I already was in the middle of a panic attack, because for some reason lately, coming here and even glancing at post titles triggers me.....I'm really stressed out over this one story I've been working on that has provided no end of triggers....I can't breathe and the Klonopin isn't working and I don't know what to do. I can't really get any work done this way! Does anyone have any tips for getting through panic attacks that occur at inopportune times? Candy |

breathing, relaxation music, bath, crumple paper up and throw it in a can a foot or so away from you (great distraction because you are concentrating on making a basket instead of the problem that sent you into a panic) Books like the courage to heal by laura davis, and The PTSD workbook and The Relaxation and Stress Reduction Workbook and also the workbook Mind over Mood has great sections for handling panic and situations that cause panic attacks.
