I can confirm that this does help in relieving some anxiety, I've been doing it a long time. It seems to work with anxiety provoking thoughts and situations as well. I'm not saying it eliminates it, but there's something about putting it down in words that makes you more able to put aside the thoughts because you've already written it down. It seems to clog the wheels from repeatedly going over the same anxious thoughts over and over again. As an added benefit, you include possible solutions in your written words. It definitely works as a tool.
