Well, I had a good one today. The anxiety with the physical pain in my shoulders and arms and the sweating of the panic attack. I took a mixture of Valerian, passion flower, chamomile, and a few others. It It almost knocked me out. The anxiety and panic left and when I got up I took a walk. It is coming back again, but not as strong. Does anybody else have any herbal remedies?

Glad you found something that worked for you.

I've found that for me personally valerian and St. John's Wort don't work well. I can use chamomille in tea form.

Sorry, I don't really believe in herbal remedies as they are not regulated!!

I don't use herbs as I don't know them well enough. I do use essential oils very often for anxiety. I am glad you found some that work for you.

Different things work for different people. Just want to make sure you know that Valarian root can be addictive. Just as Valium is. There are so many good things on the market now. Often, depending on the brain chemestry, nervous system etc., the thing to take would be different. Eg I have a reverse reaction to valarian since my body changed and I have a lot of " heat" as the chinese would say. Hypericum used to help. But it no longer does.

Kava can be great taken in proper doses for not a long period of time. Just know that it is toxic for the liver when too much is taken. Although, its not as toxic as tylenol and some prescription drugs.

I too suffer from panic attacks and anxiety. I know someone who was a respected practcing healer. He had a sudden onset of panic and anxiety which did not subside. He suffered for more than a year, until he relented and began taking some prescrip meds in high enough doses. He almost immediatly began feeling better.

He spent the year trying all sorts of alterantive things. But it was the prescription drugs that helped. I say this, and yet I avoid taking the correct things in the proper amount for the anxiety and painc I live with. I wish you lots of luck.
