Okay so long story short I am petty sure I have a major case of Social Phobia. And I found some medicine that I think will really help me (Tranylcypromine or Phenelzine).

So now the hard part...how do I tell my parents and who should I tell them to send me to. Please help! I am only 15 by the way

Hey JHU,

I have had this since I was your age, but I didn't know what it was. When I was 17, I wrote my parents a long letter and I basically just spilled my guts out and begged them for help, which they did get for me immediately. Do you have a good relationship with your parents?

As far as treatment, medication and psychotherapy are the best way to go. Meds alone will never fix it. Therapy is hard, but you don't have to flood it and talk about everything all at once. Take care.

I agree with writing out a letter to your parents if you find talking about your anxiety too difficult. Make sure they understand how severe it is.
