I don't know why, I just feel very paranoid. I keep seeing lights and things in the sky and my friends think I'm going off the deep end because I was shouting at the stars; that star seems to never be in the same spot; it's out east when I'm walking to my car in the evening and when I get home it's out west over the mountain; I feel like I'm being watched. No idea what I'm laughing at right now...

stars do move in the night sky. The night sky rotates every night.
Thanks for this!

That's an interesting question, Byzantine. I think a lot of my beliefs, which others call "paranoia", are completely rational and justified.

Sorry you're dealing with so much paranoia, Umbral. One of my friends said the most insightful thing I've ever heard about paranoia the other day. She said "the belief may not be true, but the fear is real". I'm so sorry you're afraid.
Thanks for this!

That is true. They move quite fast too.

this is how night sky taken with long exposure looks like

Irrational Paranoia

So now you don't need to be paranoid about this

It's not just that; it's paranoia with just about everything. Nothing feels right; I feel...watched, like something is waiting...and my dreams grow ever stranger...

I'm entirely aware that the stars move; what this one seems do is go 120 degrees in 15 minutes... and lately I haven't seen it at all...

Well, there are two things that might be going on, umbral. first, there are satellites and space junk that move fater than starsand reflect light, so we actually can watch them move with the naked eye. A lot of them don't really serveany purpose anymore, they just kind of clutter things up and get caught in our orbit (earth's) and generally perplex people. They get out dated and there is more risk to try to take them down than to just let them deteriorate and come down on their own.

The secon thing is if you are heading into an episode you are probablymore anxious in general, and i know that my brain tries to hang up the anxiety on ANYTHING it can. Paranoia is really rich in hooks to hang stuff up on, because the world is rich with people and you never know what people are thinking. Therer are so many ways you can interpret looks, signals, coincidences...

That said, dear, I am by nature a bit paranoid because I took a horrible bashing through childhood by my peers and teachers. So my brain says, well, in the past, when you interpreted the ambiguous signals as threatening, you were right. Living in a ghetto area for most of my student years did not improve things on one level, but did in others. I realized most people were actually like me, just trying to make it. But there were always those others...
No, just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't after you, but it's not likely that they'll be coming at you from the stars. Space junk doesn't care. It just falls and burns up. HUggs hon, and do you have someone to talk to? I find it really help when I get like that.
Thanks for this!
