Hi all
I am a fairly nervous person and as a new years resolution I promised my self I would buy tickets to a pop concert of my fave band, so that was the easy bit, I still have a few months to go and I am planning on selling the tickets as I can not stand the though of all the people being in the same room as me. I am currently feeling sick at the thought of it.
What should I do?

Corus, by all means sell your tickets but I would suggest next time, save for a year or so and get the best seats you can buy. Also you could write the band manager (After procured seats,) and tell him abou yourself. You might get a backstage pass!

PS maybe you should start small, like going out for icecream and such to desensitize you before you tackle a concert. Also, when you do go out, try and bring someone you can trust. (Ha HA, I know it's not easy) Kudos to you for planning big though.

starting small sounds good. what about going to a movie, and then a live band at a coffee shop or bar, and then maybe something like an outdoor street festival, and working up like that to being able to tolerate the crowds of a concert

Is there a trusted family or friend that could go with you to see the concert? (and a way you could leave early if you get to anxious?)

As I still have a few months to go, I am attempt to start small maybe a trip to the movies would be a good (on a quiet night lol). I do really want to go but I am just worrying about it way to much.

If you avoid the que and arrive late and I agree leave 20 mins early and avoid the rush of people to get to their cars/buss',trains or what not it will be a different experience. I used to see lots of metal bands and on the occassion of a larger concert i would arrive late/leave early and save myself panic/anxiety in doing so. *Maybe if you do sell your tickets you might consider standing outside the venue for a little while with a trusted friend just to experience your fave group*
take care
