I was supposed to go to a meeting for a project on Friday. I don't know what happened; despite meds I still freaked out and never went. Now I'm mad at myself for not going. I'm having a hard time keeping myself from backing out of the project entirely.

Is this project for school or work?

Hello, Umbral_Seraph. Does the prof know about what is going on? Is there something the school could do to help you be more comfortable doing the project?

It happens. Don't be too mad at yourself. You can still keep going on the project. Are you able to contact someone and find out what you missed?

Hope you're feeling less anxious today.

There's another related meeting later this week, so hopefully I won't be too much out of the loop...
This one I can't miss...

Hi Umbral Seraph. I really understand about avoiding things due to anxiety and then feeling crappy about myself afterwards. It's great you're going to have the opportunity to go to another meeting this week. I have often found that the thought of doing something can be worse than actually doing it. So it really can be worth pushing ourselves to give it a go. Plus, it always feels so good afterwards!

I hope you're able to make it to the next meeting and that it goes well! Good luck!!
