I was nodding off when I heard a knock on my door, It was the police asking if I was home between 4 & 5 p.m. I said that I was and I asked why they said a man and woman sitting by the pool which is right outside of my apt. building got assaulted and the women has a broken wrist. That sucks. I still decided to sit by the pool anyways despite my struggle with agoraphobia and no one was there and I didn't feel uneasy or scared, I mean really, I lived on the West Side in Buffalo, NY the most violent scary area I ever lived in. I feel so bad for them for getting attacked hope they find the suspects who are in their teens. Realizing it happens everywhere unfortunatley.

Good for you for still going out there to sit. What a big step in overcoming your fear. Please, please stay aware of your surroundings and have a cell phone handy if you can.

Yep I always have my cell phone & yes Mike I am always aware of everything going on around me, I worked in a clubhouse once where over 300 severely mentally ill adults wandered aimlessly all day long and I always had to know who was where & who was doing what. Then I lived on the West Side where I was terrified most of the time and only went out around the neighborhood to walk the dog.
