Hi,
I have dealt with anxiety most of my life. Now that I've had a baby, I'm totally fixated on the nanny that I've just hired to look after her. It may seem ridiculous but I am so worried that the nanny will abuse her. I have done every check that I possibly can but I'm still paranoid that she is going to abuse her while I'm at work. (I was not abused myself.) I am losing a lot of sleep over this and can't seem to resolve it in my mind. This may seem like a silly thing to be posting here but if anyone can suggest something that will help me to deal with this I'd be very grateful. Thanks |

I assume your nanny came with references? And you have talked to the people (in person) she worked for? I would think talking to another young mother who used this nanny might make you feel a bit better? Do you have a mother/baby group you belong to with other new mothers in the area? Having other women around me and their impressions of my nanny, would help me.
