Hi,

I have dealt with anxiety most of my life.

Now that I've had a baby, I'm totally fixated on the nanny that I've just hired to look after her. It may seem ridiculous but I am so worried that the nanny will abuse her. I have done every check that I possibly can but I'm still paranoid that she is going to abuse her while I'm at work. (I was not abused myself.) I am losing a lot of sleep over this and can't seem to resolve it in my mind.

This may seem like a silly thing to be posting here but if anyone can suggest something that will help me to deal with this I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

These are kind of pricey but it could help.

I assume your nanny came with references? And you have talked to the people (in person) she worked for? I would think talking to another young mother who used this nanny might make you feel a bit better? Do you have a mother/baby group you belong to with other new mothers in the area? Having other women around me and their impressions of my nanny, would help me.
