I ended up in the ER last night, pain from my neck down the left side of my body...so bad I had no idea what was going on...they did a bunch of checks to make sure it wasn't anything -

Muscle spasm, pinched nerve - all due to anxiety/tension - and I thought I was getting better...

Apparently I am so stressed it is appearing everywhere - and messing up my health...

I feel really helpless.

This is my...5th ER trip since court...I am having crazy health problems. I never would have considered going to the ER before and I had never been in one before all of this...

It's like I am totally illogical and I overreact constantly...everything raises a red flag...I have almost passed out from things that never bothered me, hard to eat, I am freaking out all of the time.

Advice??

After my ex-bf held me captive and made do things I did not want to do, I had the same reactions for quite a few years. I don't have them anymore but I know exactly what you are going through. I started wetting the bed and developed colitis. The colitis subsided after about a year and I still wet the bed from time to time and it's almost been 6 years since it happened.

Just try to hang in there. Things are gonna get better but give it time. I'm here for you!

((hugs)) yes... have someone VIEW you while you try and relax (like a T or someone you trust) and have them help you by telling you what you don't realize (you still have your shoulders raised.. I can see tension in your jaw..) My T had to do this for me (and still does) before I could compare what I thought and what was true with regard to tension! BREATHE is always good!

Hi Yack,

My best advice to you is to be especially patient with you, your body and your recovery right now. It's really hard to be patient, when you want to be back to your old self. I'm sorry that so many things seem to be triggering your PTSD right now, and it is showing up in your body. I have been in the ER twice myself since I developed PTSD. It seems to come with the territory. I'm glad you're back home, and hopefull you're feeling better.

Hugs,

Jane

It still hurts, unfortunately...(my neck)...

ER trip - apparently I am a train wreck.

Taking Motrin...

I fell down the stairs this morning...and then the victim advocate called our house about the pending court cases...I am not going to talk to them...therapist said it is too much of a risk...
