I was treated for anxiety and depression as a teenager. I was on Prozac and Xanax for years. once i got pregnant, I stopped taking my meds cold turkey and it was pretty much fine. My anxiety seemed to be minimal. It is now 4 years later, and am having the terrible anxiety, restlessness, nervousness, and fear 10 times worse than when I was younger. I recently tried Zoloft, but it tripled the anxiety, so today my doctor started me on wellbutrin and ativan as needed for anxiety. I am so tired of being afraid of everything, and the constant worry. Not to mention the mood swings. I can go from fine to super agitated at the drop of a hat. I hope this med helps me. I am also going to be starting counseling in october...that's the soonest i could get in.

Hi,
Sorry the anxiety has returned.... I personally have tried several meds and none of them done me any benifit. Tbh, i abused drugs whilst taking them, so progress may have been canceled out. But still, im kinda against meds before therapy but seeing as you cant get in therapy till oct, then you may find some comfort in feeling you are doing something about it. Hopefully you will find som benifit. Try not to go back down the xanax route. I am psychologically addicted for some situations and it crept up on me fast... Just wanted to say, anxiety is a living nightmare and i live it everyday, so i have much sympathy for you, as i know how horrible it is. You managed to keep it a bay before, so you can do it again - have hope ![]()

MyUserName is right, having hope will help. You did it once, you can do it again. Just have faith in yourself.
