Well, I thought everything was ok financially. Today I got a call from my landlord. My check from last month bounced. Now instead of $180 she wants $220. Where the hell am I gonna get that kind of money? I'm barely making it as it is!

I'd ask the bf for some money if he could give me some but he can't. He's only allowed to pay his half of the bills and that's it! He has a payee so he's in a bind too! If I can get through this month it will be a damn miracle!

i'm so sorry youre having financial troubles. is there any way you could talk to your landlord, possibly make an agreement to pay the requested amount but over a longer period of time? any friends or family members who could give you a short term loan?
i wish i had the right words for you, to assure you you'll get through this. let me know if it works out and if theres anything i can do to help.

Lex,

I am sorry your going through this. I would suggest talking to the landlord as well. Keeping the lines of communication open. Let her know what is going on. The few months after the holidays are always the worst. Please hang in there.

Jen

Everything's ok now. I got the money now. And I cancelled that check. I'm gonna send her a money order this time instead of a check just to be on the safe side. I think I'll just start doing that from now on with my rent.

At least my chest isn't so tight anymore and I'm not freakin out.
