That's an interesting question. prozac stopped the voices in my head, but that was like ten years ago (i am still on it), but I gotta say, I haven't complained about having a song stuck in my head for a long long time, but I sure used to. and especially when i'm doing something rhythmic like walking, I will start singing something stupid like 'by the sea, by the sea'. I would vote for it being OCD, as prozac is used against OCD.

What do you mean by voices? I don't hear voices. That I know of anyhow. But just songs I hear throughout the day, get stuck in my head constantly and yeah whenever im doing something repetitive also I've always kinda had a rhythm in my head I guess idk it's confusing. This anxiety has me questioning if I'm losing my mind. I question everything and can't even think straight. So exhausted. looked it up before and supposedly it can be from OCD and anxiety and even depression. It's so annoying though. I'm just gonna quit listening to music all together. It got bad under loads or stress I guess.

No, I soooo get what you mean. I've struggled with this for years actually. If I hear a certain part of a song on the radio or jingle on television, it'll be stuck for hours. Then there are certain songs I don't even have to hear...if I just think of them in my mind, they'll be stuck in there, off an on, for days at a time.

It sucks because there's really nothing you can do about it. Sometimes it gets so annoying that I feel like I'm going nuts.

Well yeah that's how it is with me. Sometimes I'll dream about a song and it'll be stuck in my head when I wake up. Idk it drives me nuts. Do you have anxiety or depression? If you don't mind me asking.

Yeah, I've had that happen as well. And yes I do have social anxiety pretty badly, and I'm pretty sure I've at least got mild depression.

I don't know if it's anything. But yeah, I can very much relate. Every moment there aren't 10,000 other things. Parts, over and over and over and over. Don't need to have recently heard it or anything, it's just like a brain ipod with random play loops. I don't even dream about one, but will ALWAYS have one going, at the very moment I awake, middle of the night, whatever, even though the rest of my brain is pretty well non-operational, lol.

It's soooo constant, it would never even occur to me that everyone doesn't have this. The only time it actually bothers me is when it's something I hate. And wow, aren't those persistant?! I'm sometimes able to derail those by really actively listening to something completely different. Sure, it'll come back, but I'll just zap it again. And again. And if something comes on that will likely be problematic, I'll immediately even throw my hands over my ears and make a big buzzing sound or say "blah blah blah blah blah". Card-carrying full-on adult, yup. And I don't care, because yes, the ones I hate, they're that aggravating.
Thanks for this!

Yes it just goes over and over again lol. It sucks. Hopefully it goes away sometime. But I'd rather have the anxiety, depersonalization, and depression go away first.

I have the same issue. It often keeps me up at night. I call it my mental jukebox. It usually doesn't bother me except for when it gets stuck on repeat... or when there are multiple songs playing at once. It's also frustrating when music that I'm writing gets stuck in my head, because it is often unfinished.
