I've been treated with panic disorder ocd and anxiety. It flares up at random times and can seem to be "dormant" for a few months roughly and then come right back either mild or heavy. Am I alone? I just moved o a new city, got a job finally but the job is full of triggers. I know I need to see a Dr. I was seeing one in my home town and the meds seemed to help but I ran out and ended up having to wean myself off, so within the course of about a year or so I haven't been treated. I need to get some kind of health insurance and my car running so I can make appointments. Can anyone help with ideas or suggestions? I can be more descriptive of my issues if anyone can help.

I would suggest a therapist to help while you adjust to the many new things in your life.

Are you low-income, or just without benefits for X amount of time? What are the triggers at your job? Are they triggering panic? How do you handle the triggers when they occur? (Do you do the same thing each time, or handle each case differently?) Hugs to you!

Well I just started the job and it's only part time, so both limited income and not likely to receive benefits. I don't know what is available in this town as far as therapy goes yet. But I did talk with my employeer about my issue so that particuar task won't be required from me anymore.

My anxiety seems to be more dormant and less triggerable in the summertime. When winter starts and days get shorter that's when I'm more sensitive to triggers and anxiety in general.

It seems that a lot of people with anxiety issues have panic pop up around times of transition. You may feel that the anxiety is unrelated to the changes, but with change comes stress and with stress comes anxiety. I suggest keeping some sort of written record of when you feel anxiety set in.
-Write down what is going on and what, you feel, caused your anxiety. -Then, you need to write down what was going on in your mind, or what you are actually afraid of. -After doing these things, you can try and address the actual cause of your anxiety. Good luck and I hope things get better for you! Keep us updated!
