I did not realize I had social anxiety until I read on a couple of articles about social anxiety. Shyness is totally different for social anxiety. I dread public speaking, I feel like I am going to faint. I need help. Every four months, I have to produce presentations for my job, I get dry mouth and I start to studder. I fear for my life when I am presentins.

I think the difference between shyness and social anxiety is when it starts to impact your life. Have you considered any counselling to help cope with the anxiety?

It sounds as social phobia. The best solution is simply practicing it. Just breakout there against your wish and initiate some public speaking. Often it is better to begin with friends or relatives. The only way to bounce back your fear of public speaking is to get it doing compfortablely, and you get easyness doing it by doing it frequently.

Yeah sounds like social phobia. I would go into a empty classroom pick a focus point and just simply talk outloud to yourself as if if were people in the room listening and every now and then try it with your sibling and as time progressses add more. You'll be surprise and how well you do!
