Last week people suggested how temperament affects happiness and how we are afraid to be happy as possible topics for the chat. I found these two articles that talk about happiness from a couple points of view.
Why Striving for Happiness Can Make You Unhappy | World of Psychology

Choosing Happiness in Our Lives Revisited | Psych Central

So let's talk about happiness for a change instead of anxiety! Let's see what is the key to happiness and what is a failing game.

Please feel free to join me for a chat in the Anxiety Support Chat, Friday at 8PM EST. Hope to see you there.

I choose happiness because you will feel better you will be healthy ,and you are happy the anxiety dont find his pleace in you .Usualy anxiety live in people who are unhappy ,they have trauma from the past ,think negatively etc
Thanks for this!

I'm in the middle of such a choice now. I am happy except a little concerned about weight gain. Do I risk this by discontinuting the medication and choose anxiety instead?

I think meds that are keeping you stable is an easier choice. weight gain only affects the body but anxiety can ruin our whole lives. In any case before adjusting or stopping meds your pdoc who prescribed is the one to talk to. Some meds need to be tapered to safely get off them.

You could also ask your pdoc if there are other meds that could keep you stable and not have as much weight gain problem.

I find if I stick to a high protein low carb diet my doctor recommended it helps me keep from taking on lots of weight. Daily exercise and yoga helps too.
