I'm soo embarassed! I'm 20 years old and still can't figure out my purpose in life. I'm super shy and can't seem to shake it off. I want to be socially normal with adults and people my age but I can't seem to hold a decent conversation. Being that I went to a private hs out of town, I don't know too many people in my neighborhood or have much friends. So I feel left out. I tend to want to quit at things that make me feel soo uncomfortable. I do try but I fail miserably at everything. I had a couple of jobs within 3yrs and on the verge of leaving this new one due to not havin any hours in 2weeks. In my head I keep changing my major as well because I'm not sure if what I'm pursuing will fit my personality. I get seasonally depressed thinking about how confident everyone else is and how my few friends are all away at school. I'm just so lost and I feel like I'm a waste of potential. I know I may have a mental illness(es) but I dont know which one or how to cope.
I can't seem to eat or function in the morning/afternoon. Sorry to whine just need help and somewhere to vent

First of all, get a therapist. She will teach you how to deal with this anxiety. Second, you're only 20. You have lots of time to learn how to cope with the world. Third, until then maybe try working from home and sticking to a small number of friends? That way you don't strain yourself
