Hello,
I am new here. I had history of majof depression, severe insomnia, and anxiety since I was a teenager. I just started a new job which is very stressful and I really hate it. I am getting anxiety attacks at work and getting so overwhelmed. I called in sick for the past two days because I feel so anxious about going to work and i don't know what to do. I can't keep calling in sick. I want to quit my job so bad, but afraid to. I just feel so down today. I just feel so alone and so deep in my depression. I am in the same pj from sunday night. I dont have any motivation to do anything. I know it's good to talk to someone, I don't feel like talking to anyone. I curled up on the couch and watched tv for over 12 hours yesterday. I dont have any interest in anyting anymore and tired of living. Am I the only person who feels this way? How do I snap out of this depression and anxiety. Any suggestions please. |

Last year I tried it, didn't work. The aftermath is more complicated than you would expect. Sadly I still don't know how I feel about the whole ordeal. |

You do sound depressed, and I'm sorry you are in that space. Do you see a counselor? Is that an option for you? Or do you have a doctor you could go to to and let him/her know what is going on with you? I guess I don't know your history, maybe you already have these things in your life. What I know is that in order for my depression to improve I have to seek help. What has worked for me is either therapy, medication, or a combination of both. Different things have worked at different times. Being on here is great, it's a great place to get support and feedback. Thanks for posting and I hope things improve for you!

I am sorry you are feeling this way right now. Do you see a therapist? Talking to one sounds like what you need right now. Is that something that is available through your employer? Also, is taking a medical leave of absence an option for you? I hope you are feeling somewhat better today. ![]() |
