I don't want to say I have a phobia , but I definitely dislike sleeping because I always wake up & feel like crap . Plus I have nightmares a lot . & sometimes I get this weird feeling when I fall asleep or wake up gasping. Sleep has become an uncomfortable thing .

i mean mine is more like i hate when sleep comes over me i dont like anything controlling me.

Hmm wow , I've never heard of that before . You have anxiety right ? My counselor told me that people have anxiety because they feel like they don't have control. So that makes sense . Unfortunately I can't relate to that ; actually , I wish I could sleep like a normal person. Lol.

im so ashamed of it that its hard to tell my therapist about it. even though he knows we dont discuss it bc he knows i dont like too. i wish i can get more comfortable to discuss it with him

Why are you ashamed ? Although I don't completely understand, you should never be ashamed of something that makes you ... You. I mean I hate my anxiety & it has caused a lot of changes in my life that I'm not proud of .. I use to hate myself & get upset , but it's a part of who I am. Ya know ??

I definitely understand where you are coming from on this. I have to take sleep medicine to get to sleep, because even if I'm tired I just don't want to sleep... blah.
