Hi!
In December 2005 I was prescribed the medicine Zoloft for my OCD. Zoloft is really great for me and I feel so much better and free today.
My only big problem is the my itch? I have an itch all the time and I scratch my self bloody on my legs, arms, you name it.
I know it's a side-effect to the Zoloft, but I can't stand it anymore. Is this a ordinary side-effect and do you have it?
Karolina!

Have you checked with your health care person about this? That would be the best first thing to do.

I was only able to take Zoloft briefly, did not have the itching side effect but did have others.

Good luck as you go through this, I know it can be frustrating at times to sort out what med works best.

I don't have the itch, but I find myself obsessed with body hair. I have to tweeze it all off, so I end up spending hours doing it. Another thing-I have become a clean/neat freak since being on it.

I'd suggest asking your doctor what you can do. If this medication is working for you but you don't like this side effect, you might be able to try a similar med (celexa, prozac, SSRI's of any kind I'd assume) and see if it doesn't have the side effect.

I had a prob with carbamazapine and itching but turned out I was allergic to it. Best to check with your doc about what could help with this.

Hey karolina.
Zoloft made me very agitated. I couldn't even sit and watch a movie because of the pain.
I'd be telling the doctor about your itch. Sounds like it's worrying you and it would be good for you to get it off your mind.
Love Estee
