It's 5 am and I'm freaking out over nothing yet I can't seem to figure out what to do. I have the entire Saturday to myself and I was toying with the idea of going for a hike- the last day before the big hurricane hits the northeast. But y parents could use some help putting away lawn furniture and prepping the house for he hurricane too. I have gone home the past three weekends to help them, Dogsit, do yard work etc. So I could use a break. Do I go or stay and do my own thing? I don't even know where I would go to hike- there are so many options. I can't sleep over this stupid decision- it's just so stupid. I just need I pick one and go with it. I just don't know what to do- help my parents or take a day and hike before it gets to be winter? Another thing is they might need more help after he storm next weekend with clean up- I could just go and help then. I need advice guys....

I also have real trouble with indecision. What I would do in your situation is flip a coin - that way it is up to the Universe to decide what to do.

You have helped your parents 3 weeks in a row, and I'm assuming you're at work or college during the week, so you could use a break. Your stress about this could be due to the fact you have had so little free time recently - if so, go on a hike and see if you feel better after that.

Alternatively, you could just ask them what they'd prefer. I'm sure if they think you deserve some free time they would say to go for the hike. However, I have no knowledge of hurricanes or the damage they can cause to housing, so i am no authority on this case.

What I do know, however, is if you don't do any of these choices then you will still be unable to sleep because you won't have chosen.

Good luck, I'm sure you will choose the right thing

That was nice of you. If the weather permits, go on that hike. There's no reason why you can't do both if you're up for it.

good decision given the importance of preparing for the bad weather. you can hike next weekend and feel twice as good because you made the right choice.
Thanks for this!
