Hi everyone. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I'm relatively new here. And I don't post much, but I post when things are really starting to bother me and I just need to get things out.
Well, I have a severe phobia of storms. I have no clue where it comes from, because I've never been IN a bad storm, but maybe, just maybe, it's the idea in my head that my dad wants to become a storm chaser, and I worry that someday I'll lose him, and I don't want to ever lose him. But anyway, back to the topic at hand (I often veer off topic, excuse me), this whole business with Frankenstorm (aka Hurricane Sandy) is really freaking me out, and I'm not even near where she is hitting hard. I'm pretty much on the outskirts of where she's going to be hitting the hardest. Some of my good friends live in the area that is getting hit, and I'm worried about them because they've lost power and I can't check to make sure they are okay. I'm just venting and being stupid and worrying, I'm sorry. That's just how I am I suppose. I worry too much, and I've been told that on more than one occasion. Sorry everyone.

Well fear not, the majority of the storm's worst is already gone and passed. All that'll be left is some winds and a bit of rain or snow, but nothing severe. I also have a storm phobia, to a smaller extent now that I've been living in Florida for 17+ yrs. Just hold on 'til they get power restored, now that the winds have died down they're able to start clean up again. You'll be alright. -hug-

Thanks for that Sila! :3 Luckily, we haven't had any off-set storms here from Sandy, so I'm alright now. I hope that we don't get anything. It's surprising actually, because I expected things to be so much worse than they have turned out to be. Thank you for the sympathy. Glad to hear that you're doing well with your phobia too!

It got hit really bad over in NJ and NY but a lot of people were also left unscathed. Glad you're alright, and I totally understand. You should pop into the live chat, I'm always around there and there's often people too.
